I am a writer & editor, currently studying Journalism BA at University of Kent, Medway.

My website features some articles I have worked on to date. As someone who is in the early stages of building a career in journalism, I haven't pinned my blog down to a particular topic. However, some of my main topics I will be focusing on include: travel, news and social affairs.

Travel, to me - is so important, it helps people build connections, gives you new experiences and knowledge of different cultures. I enjoy travelling and will document some of my favourite places I have visited on my website. 

I also cover articles on social affairs. I feel that promoting knowledge on social issues is best done through displaying individual experiences and stories.

 

As someone is who trying to get into the journalism industry, I will also be writing up articles on current news stories. It is important to have an understanding on what is going on in the world, something I have naturally felt more passionately for as I have grown up. I am writing this 'about me' section of my blog as we enter the global pandemic that is Covid-19. As a frightening issue which is affecting the whole world, news is needed to be distributed in a way which hasn't quite been done before. It is vital people are getting the correct information and that the information they are receiving is clear and correct, journalism may never have been so important. 

 

I am passionate about a career in journalism. I am hard-working and dedicated and I understand the duty journalists play in society and the importance of respectful and accurate journalism.
